If you encountered a probelm when installing Feedsmith plugin with WordPress 2.8 this post is for you.
Recently I tried to install Feedsmith plugin with WordPress 2.8. The upload worked fine but when I tried and activate the plugin I got a
message stating that “The plugin does not have a valid header”.
The solution is actually quite simple.

Follow these steps
- Uninstall Feedsmith – Go to whatever you use to manage the files on your server. Navigate to ‘/wp-content/plugin/’ and delete the current version of Feedsmith folder.
- Download the Feedsmith plugin from Google.
- Open the zip file and delete the ‘Mac OS’ folder (I guess you use windows like I do).
- Upload and Activate the plugin in the usual fashion way.
That should work.
If not try another way that worked for others.
