How to install Feedsmith plugin with WordPress 2.8

by Place for Bloggers

settingsIf you encountered a probelm when installing Feedsmith plugin with WordPress 2.8 this post is for you.

Recently I tried to install Feedsmith plugin with WordPress 2.8.  The upload worked fine but when I tried and activate the plugin I got a
message stating that “The plugin does not have a valid header”.

The solution is actually quite simple.

Follow these steps

  1. Uninstall Feedsmith – Go to whatever you use to manage the files on your server.  Navigate to ‘/wp-content/plugin/’ and delete the current version of Feedsmith folder.
  2. Download the Feedsmith plugin from Google.
  3. Open the zip file and delete the ‘Mac OS’ folder (I guess you use windows like I do).
  4. Upload and Activate the plugin in the usual fashion way.

That should work.

If not try another way that worked for others.
